And His Music

This album is a mix of different songs that are multi faceted much like the musician who wrote them. Even though Rockin Kiko’s influences were from the Chicago Blues, to Classic Rock of the 60’s 70’s and 80’s, There was some pop influences that came out in the songs, much to the credit of the songs Kiko was drawn to in the 80’s as he went from gig to gig trying to making a buck while living to play his guitar.

Kiko is a born native of the San Francisco Bay Area. He grew up in the 70's and loved listening to the radio. Music was a big influence at such an early age. Ace Frehley was his first guitar influence. Since Kiss wasn't actively played on the radio, Kiko got introduced to other 70's rock and pop, including Kansas, Styx, The Eagles, Heart, Derrick and the Domino's, etc,...

When the 80's came around the music styles changed again with disco going out with classic rock as we know it today, and heavy metal came in along with a differnt kinds of pop music. Kiko was more of a fan of bands like Blondie, Joan Jett, Pat Benatar, and Def Leppard to name a few.

He started learning guitar at 15. His grandfather who Kiko was working with, bought him an old used electric guitar for $35 and a 10 watt amp. Kiko was self taught to play guitar. He did pay for someone to show him bar chords and picked up different scales from other players he jammed with.

When Kiko became a young man he did a lot of moving around. He spent time in places like Chicago, and Los Angeles among other places. During his time in the 90's Kiko discovered blues and really got into artists like Eric Clapton, BB King, Stevie Ray Vaughn, and getting more appreciation for Jimi Hendrix. Even though Kiko isn't a total blues player, the is no doubt that there is some definitive blues influence in the music.

Today Kiko makes his home in Florida. Kiko started writing music in 1997.

Today Rockin Kiko has put all the influences into one album and Makin’ Music was born!
